Like Ardol O'Hanlon says, when you are expecting a kick in the nuts and all you get is a slap in the face, you're a winner. I expected some lumps in the snow this morning with dead calves under them, but they were all up and running around unaffected by this mess.Had 32 degrees this morning, wet snow coming down, visibility about a half mile at best. Snow was so deep I had to use the tractor to check cows, the 4 wheeler wouldn't navagate it. There was an inch of water in the rain guage,so use your imagination as to how much snow that was. But on the bright side, weather man says this will be the last day of it. Almost makes you feel giddy when everything survives this stuff.Hope everything's going as well for the rest of you.

I'm about 20-25 miles north of you, we had 6 to 8" with drifts around the buildings nearer a foot deep. Wet nasty snow. Gads, will this ever end? Wonder who the joker is who misplaced spring!

Glad the calves are doing good for you. You did great on moisture too. Barely had a tenth out of last weekends snow mess here and 2 more freezes and it kicked up the dirt blowing Tuesday and doing it again today even though been a wetter than normal winter. Need to this wind to go away like the rest need winter to leave.

we dodged a bullet here in upper NY, was supposed to snow all day but so far just rain. Anything that falls as rain is 10 times that that much less that falls as snow. Now we gotta worry about a storm they are talking about for the beginning of next week. I am awful sick of this never ending winter. Winter started late, but we sure paid for it many times.
