I have a 601 ford workmaster. I need to hook up hydraulics so I can pull my rake. Has anyone ever used a pto hydraulic pump and how do thay work or well it work for what I want to do.

I have a big Chelsea PTO pump it worked great on a pretty big Plow off of my Case LA. As long as you don't need the PTO for other stuff they are very good hydraulic systems. Just a pain in the Butt to remove an install.

Could'nt you get an adapter, ( might not be cheap from what I hear, but thought they are available new or might be had from a salvage yard if lucky ) that fits on under the right hand side of the seat, on the top cover, kind of like a valve body, you can then get 1 set of remotes, off the tractors hydraulics, not particularly fast, but for lifting an implement should suffice, if you need more volume or pressure, at minimum, front or pto pump and a reservoir, for bare basics, no hydraulic genius but my friends 640 has the adapter with the lever for his one arm loader, works well, just a little slow for a loader though.
