HI Gang;
This is the 1st in a series of photos of a plowing match. This guy is making his final run taking out the last 2 furrows to finish his plot. He is using 3cyl diesel MF35 with Ransomes 2 furrow plough (much modified).
On this last run he has moved the whole plough to the right on the cross shaft, and the plow depth wheel been set out to the left to run behind the tractor wheel.
Cheers David

Beautiful job! He has a lot of extra weight on the plow - is the ground that tough?

Interesting extended landslide on the trailing bottom.
Your photos are always beautiful
Perfection plowing has limited utility in the scheme of US agriculture, but my grand father and dad made sure I walked off and marked dead furrows and back furrows at differing locations each year, to keep the soil level, and "make nice". Being rewarded with gramps saying "looks good" was about the best it ever got from him, and felt better than it sounds. Gramps was a horse driver, and never operated a tractor that anyone can remember. JimN
