Please tell me what the heck is up with the weather. Last Tuesday I was teaching outside and sunburned my head 85 and on Thursday I was in winter clothes freezing to death 32. and it has not let up. I live in Ky. Last Friday we saw the dangest blizzard of the year. It did not stick because the ground was warm. All I can say is DANG. Tim

I thought this was pretty much normal weather for this time of year. Shoot I never try to plant my garden till after the 15th of april because if always freezes at least once in april before the 15th.

Don't plant until 10th of May,just peas. As George can tell,Ky sod & cover crop is HARD .3x16s on the 4630 4x4 let it lay around 30 days disc, then plant / when the sigh is right ,moon phases/ they do better. Allen, I'm planting here on earth LOL.

People think you're crazy when you tell them their 5 plow tractor will pull 3 here. I had 4x16 MF plow behind a 4440 and it was all it wanted around here in sod or cover crop. We did pull a six bottom behind it in the river bottoms on stubble ground, but is a different story on this ridge land.

Atleast someone knows how it is!! We need a good 25 HP per 16" bottom in our neck of the woods. Anything less and you just aint gonna go anywhere...

It's the ninth day of April. Seems pretty darned normal to me. Hot one day and cold the next.

On the warm days, a guy is supposed to hurry up and plant so that it can get froze off two or three times. :>)

As Algore would say, "must be global warming." Sure wish he would come shovel my driveway and tell me how i can plant crops in this weather.
