Greetings All,

After six months of searching and being out bid at auctions we finally found a solid F 11 Farmhand loader for the Farmall. Problem is that the previous owner kept valves, hoses, PTO pump and worst of all, Hydraulic reservoir for his new replacement loader. The cost of a new tank from Agco is prohibitive for us as was the only other used one I have located. Does anyone know of a used reservoir or probably better, has anyone adapted a cheaper substitute tank?

Thank you for any assistance Don

Huh, doesn't look like my reply got posted, sorry if this ends up as a double post...I have a tank off an F10A, the old triangular looking tank, it's in NE Colorado, I think I recall you are in Nebraska...You are welcome to it if shipping isn't too expensive, or if you want to make a trip. :-)

Hello Chad,

Your offer of an F10 tank sounds like just what we need! Please let me know what you would take for it and, of course, shipping.

We are located in zip 83641. That is in SW Idaho just out of the small town of Melba.

Our email is idnative@peoplepc.com Thank you for your help, Don

Guys, Thanks for the input. Due to available space I sure wish I could find a used, or ready made, vertical tank that would hang on the original mounts. The search continues. . . Don

Measure it up, write it down, and take it to a welding shop. They should be able to make you a nice vertical tank for not a whole lot of $$.

I know my welding shop could build one of those tanks that northern tool sells for probably 1/2 the cost.

Any steel tank will work. Check out northerntool.com - they have some decent prices on steel oil tanks. Hydraulic tanks

What kind/size of a tractor are you putting it on?

If you've got enough capacity in the pump, you could just run it off of your tractor's hydraulics. ??

It will be on a '50 Farmall M w/ lift all and distributor live pump to start with. It currently just has the lift all reservoir. Think it will be a bit short at six quarts capacity with the new loader.

One side of the tractor's current two spool valve ties to the live pump and runs a three point hitch. I am going to try the unused side for the main boom, and plan to convert the bucket cylinders to one way (up/retract)and use the lift all for them. Just learning and conspiring as money is an issue right now. Don

I run the F-11 off of my H's live pump. It's a touch slow, but it sure works. Yes, you need about 2 gallon of oil capacity.
