Has anyone here ever had any experience with bed bugs? I just finished watching the video below, and now I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I am itching already.

Sounds like the best to avoid them is to stay out of hotels and motels.

International travelers can carry in baggage not the cheap trip people the bug. Most large city hotels with international travlers have the bug in the bedding. Look for brown spots, someones blood that has been sucked by the bed bug and craped on the bedding. They get you at night of course. Looking for fleas? Put a white towel on the floor and see if any dark dots start landing on it. If so move out now. Tip to leave roches at the motel. Keep you baggage closed with the cloths inside. Shake all you cloths out side at the end of the trip. OH yes don't use tap water to brush your teeth or get shower water in your mouth in many countries.

Guess they were bad for a time 70 years ago here in Minnesota - so cold isn't the pure cure.

I think a lot of bugs are making a comeback - DDT was _very_ persistant, but it is finally wearing off. Think about it.

When I was a kid, I used to hear stories about bedbugs. Then, recently, I heard that the little rascals are making a comeback. So, I was interested enough to do an internet search on, you guessed it, bedbugs! They are easily killed if you happen to be lucky enough to live in cold climate regions. It doesn't even take freezing temperatures to kill them. Let the temp go to 40F or lower for a few days and the living will be dead. When you turn the temp back up, eggs will hatch. Let the temp go down again and you should be OK. At least that's what the article said.

Coming back with the illegals, along with TB and other nasty stuff we once had taken care of.

Dad said people used to set their bed legs in fruit jar lids filled with keosense to keep the bedbugs out of their beds.

I recently took my Public Health Pesticide test and they were a topic I had to read about. I told my boss, "How can you expect me to pass such as test when all you want to do is forget about such things?"

Bedbugs, roaches, snakes, skunks, rats, mice, etc.

I remember my grandparents talking about bedbugs. (YUCK) I also remember hearing that Boric acid should kill them, Now real good insecticide should do the trick. Stay out of those Cheap hotels. and look for the bedbugs at the seam of the mattress before you get into the hotel bed.

Paul Harvey was telling today that they are making a come back. In all 50 states now, folks are throwing out furniture and mattresses. Wifes grandad tells of the old days when they were so bad you didn't Let company bring their luggage in the house.
