Could you post a picture? I have a W Speed Patrol, and have toyed with the idea of putting a step down gear in it. I have never seen one on a grader, many were on the ag tractor WC's. It does sure looks like it would go right in there on the grader. I spend to much time messing with this computer so I never get it done.

I have been informed that a very large number of the graders have swapped rear ends from the ag WC's because they were not made strong enough to take the everyday wear and tear the county workers put them through, and it was faster to just swap them. I also heard if you can read the SN on the rear end there is a good chance it was off a ag tractor. The SN/ tag is probably up on the right front side.

Does your graders 2nd transmission slow the tractor or actualy disconect the rear drive wheels? There was after market step up and step downs on the ag tractors. I know a neighbor that had one with a step down-nuteral-and step up, however I have never seen another. He was convinced that it was real sweet on the mounted picker.

My 1944 WC- current picture on the AC board- has that transmission- between the factory tranny and the differential. Replaces the 'throwout' on the driveline that let the cultivator be lifted without the wheels moving. Sherman transmission with Hi, Lo, and neutral.

I'd like to know what 2nd tranny?? I know the one I have only has the one tranny and then behind that is where the PTO would go if it had one but they don't or at least the one I have doesn't. Pictures of my WC Speed Patrol are in my web page
