the Rolling Stones.

Doherty declined to say any more about why Richards made the statement in an interview with NME, a pop music magazine.

"The strangest thing I've tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father," the 63-year-old guitarist was quoted as saying.

"He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn't have cared ... It went down pretty well, and I'm still alive."

Richards' father, Bert, died in 2002, at 84.

I'd be real surprised if that was the most disgusting thing Mr. Richards has ever done.

How about when Ozzie Osbourne pi**ed on the Alamo? Now that took some cojones!

As dds-inc said, he was just making a bad joke. Later expressed amazement that anyone actually took him seriously.

The only thing I can think of that is goofier than that is posting it on a vintage tractor forum. Now THAT is strange ..... perhaps you and Mick should book a double therapy session. Maybe hook up to a discussion forum on vintage rock groups and make a post about the tranny in your Farmall H. The guys would think you're crazy.

Reminds me of the woman who wanted to be cremated, have her ashes mixed with paint and have the bedroom ceiling painted with it so she could always look down and see what her husband was up to.

The most unbelievable part of that quote is where he says "I'm still alive".

Just looking at him you would have to conclude that he's been dead for years.
