Hi Gang;
Been back up-country for a few days, yes did spot a few tractors during the trip !
What are your thoughts on this little baby? Its a 1994 Ford 3930 in use on a turf growing farm. Fitted with huge tyres designed not to mark the cultivated turf.Spent its life towing a set of Brower pto driven gang mowers.
3 cyl diesel, 54HP gross, 4F & 1R gears with hi & lo, two gear levers between your legs. Basically the old Ford 4000-4600-4610 2wd "bomb proof" tractor. Done under 4000 hours from new.
Is up for sale less turf wheels & tyres, will be fitted with original agric wheels & new tyres. Worth buying? All comments welcome.
Cheers David

It looks like the tires were purposely worn out or that tractor did a lot of high speed road driving. Looks pretty good though. I know some people up here that run a sod farm and have a similar set up to the tractor in the background with the Brouwer sod cutter. It's an older Ford with about 9000 hours and they say it is still original engine and doesn't use oil. I should add that they take meticulous care of their equipment. Dave

Over the past thirty years I've owned an sold about 250 Ford tractors. My 1994 Ford 3930 (8 speed, 942 original hours) is the ONLY tractor I've ever owned that is NOT for sale.
Enough said?

You said it..... Basically a 4610 with a little less fuel going through/to it. It has better hydraulics than the 4000, and improved steering with the fully hydrostatic system. I have one, and I'd buy another.

That's kind of cute. I'll start the bidding at 1000 quid...1500 if they'll leave on the turf tyres!
