Doing a major out of frame on a 97' NPR-HD w/ 4BD2T, and need the torque specs for the main brg. caps, rod caps, cyl. head, flywheel, and that un-Holy nut for the harmonic dampner.
Also, what is the difference between GM liners with different part #'s and those code letters stamped on the top of the block, and 'universal replacement' Isuzu liners that carry only 1 part number?
I know this is off tractor topic, but I always like to start here, because there is such a vast number of mechanics that post here.
Any help appreciated, or directions where I can ask these questions.
E-mail welcome. Thanx; Tom S. in Tn.

Tom.S. I'll try to remember to bring my shop manual up by the computer tomorrow night. G.M. and Isuzu Shop manuals are available through an 800 number if I remember right-Just call a dealer and they should be able to locate the 800 number

I tried the dealer route, and even the parts supplier we spent nearly 2 G"s with, and they all wanted $65 minimum to subscribe us to their tech line....or $250 for a manual.
This is prostituting in my opinion.
Any help here would be deeply appreciated.
Tom S.
