I lost most of the measurements but it was made out of 3X6 tube and 1/2 plate. If the cylinder were on it I could of taken better pitchers.

I believe the mounts on our 235 that's on the 1256 go back and attach at the axle... I know for a fact on our Buhler Allied loader on the 2590 there are mounts all the way back around the axles.

Not necessarily to "push" with, but extra bracing/stability to keep them from twisting. Do you have a mount that goes around under the tractor? If not, build one - it made a world of difference on the 270 Farmhand that's on the 544.

This is on a 656 Hydro? The top picture suggests that lower beam is going back to grab the rear axle? Am I looking at this right?

I gotta do something. Went out to feed the cattle this moring; kind of cold out today and I for sure want this loader on the little Hydro tractor come winter next year. I just do not need a 125 horsepower diesel tractor to feed a silly bale or two. :>(

Thanks Buddy!

Allan

Yes it is a 656 hydro and it does go to the back axle.

We mounted the frount mounts on and then measured were the back mounts went to and then we made the rails. I was at Pa Kettle's in SD and took some pics for you.

Did the factory mounts go back to the axle? Will that little tractor want to break in two if it doesn't have the full "frame" under it?

Thanks,

Allan

Can't understnd the reasoning behind the full-length frame. That loader "pushes" from the front mount.

Just trying to figure it out,

Allan

It was the only way we figured it would work with out spending $1200 for the actual mounts. I thought that it also took more weight off the front end But that was 15 years a go. Also I don't think there holes were back where it was mounted but remember this is a narrow body. I thought that your 70 hydro was a wide body.

Yep,

That is the problem. No holes back at the rear of the frame rails.

My Hydro 70 is just like your 656. A different frame rail, but still the narrow tractor.

Thanks Bud,

Allan
