Well the long awaited report is out and what does it mean?

Who or how do they determine what we are going to plant?

Without asking everyone can they really predict our planting intenions?

Only way they really know what was planted is when we certify our acres in June for the farm programs.

Just rambling. Gary

Highest prospective planting intentions in corn since 1944.

Many of the seed dealers are talking about a 15%increase in corn this year. That is what the USDA is now saying.

We will trade the USDA numbers for a day or two and than go back to the wet weather.

Your right on trading the numbers for two or three days.

Then its all weather from then on.

What year and how many acres of corn was the highest in history?

By the way they say we will plant 90.5 million acres of corn, this year. And 67.1 million acres of soybeans.

The prediction is just a little above what the market expected for corn and below the market expected bean acres.
