Thought some of you could use a true story. I was at the coffee shop yesterday. My brother and the guy that works for him were in there, taking a break from a demolition job. Of course the conversation came around to some other empty buildings in town. Somebody asked if there was anything in the old gas station across the street. One of the two guys that does maintenance for the village said "yea, the fire department has the grass truck in there right now. They'll be able to take it out of there pretty soon. As soon as the Cheif gets his bass boat out of the fire barn, they can put it back in there".

Any public servant that abuses taxpayer trust and money should be reported and made to stop. This is your money they are using for their private gain. It is just another form of theft. To heck with small town politics - do something about it!

I have one about that good! I did a remodel on the mechanic's hangar at a local airport. Took about 8 weeks to do and I notice all that time a certain airplane just sat in there plus a custom car and boat and large SUV.I finally quizzed one of the mechanics and he said all that stuff belonged to the head mechanic and a good friend of his and they were not to speak of it. I really wanted to rat on it as this place was funded by the FAA and it's Illegal to keep those items in there under their regulations. Amazing what liberties people will take!!!

I didn't take it as a big deal, just the kind of thing that happens in a small town. Maybe he'll take us fishing with him when he gets it out.

There is a fire station adjacent to my workplace. For years we saw boats, cars being stored there. You couldn't see them from the street. Then my employer got gigged for outside storage - violating city ordinance. Pretty soon all the boats and stuff went away, as did our violation.....
