Hello,

Any idea what an early model 4010 diesel with 1 scv pair, WF would be worth?? It has an m&w turbo, new trans and clutch. But I"ve been told the brakes need to be redone, and I do notice that it uses some oil. I used it to bale about 50 large round bales last year and it always starts dependably, even in the winter.

I bought one at auction lastyear for $5800, had a canopy, nearly new back tires, airplane front tires (haven"t had a thorn thru them yet) and it runs great. After I purchased it, I discovered a slow battery drain that I have since fixed. It will need new breaks as well. If you pay a Deere dealer to fix them, it will be in the neighborhood of $1000. If you can do it yourself (it"s difficult because you have to take the rear drives off each side), it"s simply the cost of parts - not too bad.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Several years ago (5) I traded a JD 4010 for $5000.00. It needed the PTO shift pin replaced and was over 7000 engine hrs. Was WF and cosmetically was good. With the 24 volt system, this tractor would start at almost any temperature.
