2 point - 3 Point Conversion

Dilema = What do I buy?

I just purchased a 1959 Farmall 560 Diesel with a two point fast hitch swinging drawbar.

I see there are some bent type slide in fast hitch arms with 3 point balls on the end you can reverse from narrow to wide to fit cat 1 and cat 2 equipment.

I also see there are straight arms with just category 2 ends.

I also see they make these quick hitch units that go on as well that hook to the 3 point ball ends.

Anyone have experience with any of these. I plan to use my 560 with a 6.5 foot rotary mower, bale spike and tiller, all of which are 3 point.

Suggestions??

My biggest concern would be that when I use the slide in arms are implements going to be normal distances so that my PTO shafts for my rotary mower and tiller will work. I had been using them on a John Deere A with a category 2 3 point kit.

Thanks, Robert

I have a set of bent arms for my Farmall 200. Seem to work pretty well. Only problem is that you are faced with a fixed width between the balls, and impliment much match that width. May have to shim impliment pins, or seek out impliments that are the right dimmension. See worksaver.com for drawings, etc. I have theirs on my tractor. Well made, if somewhat expensive.

Robert,

I have the bent type (hopefully) pictured here. I think you would probably need the bent type as they give more ground clearance. It is also nice to be able to use both cat 1 & 2 implements.

As to the quick hitch things, I take the adapters out and put them on the implement, back up and make the connection, hook up the top link and I'm off.

I'll assume your shafts are adjustable, if so they should be fine.

I also take adapters out and put on imp. how do you hold them up while backing into them? I welded a ring on top of them and connect bunge from ring up to apropriate point on imp. so they are level.

I turned a couple of 3" U-Bolts into fish hooks for now but when weld day comes I'll do like you did.

Oh, and by the way if you have one to sell, by all means let me know as I am going to buy something since I cant use my tractor without some type of 3 point conversion.
