I guess I have to make this (TRACTOR) related. I, for one, enjoy reading the varied posts (TRACTOR) about problems and solutions from the contributors on this forum. (TRACTOR) Just on this page we learn about straightening an I beam,(TRACTOR) the grade of a sewage line,(TRACTOR) and how much Rosie is hated,(TRACTOR) among others. (TRACTOR) What I haven't learned is why (TRACTOR) some get their knickers in a twist when they read a post titled as O.T.(TRACTOR) Is anyone being forced to read any particular item?(TRACTOR) Some titles don't interest me and I have just enough will power to skip them. (TRACTOR) Long live the O.T.s!

Guess I'm too much like my grandad (before he had a TRACTOR). He used to love to hear other peoples stories as much as I do. They say back in the days when the hobos used to come around looking for a handout (guess if they had had a tractor, they could have grown their own food),my grandmother would feed them, but wouldn't let them in the house. Grandpa used to take his plate outside and eat with them just to listen to the stories that they had to tell. Keep the O.T.s coming, once in a while there is a joke good enough for the guys at the coffee shop.(between talking tractors)

I didn"t care for the Rosie post, but it didn"t bother me. After reading a couple entries,I closed it and went to the next post. Works for me. God Bless.

and to imagine, we can all get along and we all have different color paint on our tractors, it must be a miracle that we can manage to have an off topic subject and get along as well

i learn all kinds of stuff on here and never once have i ever thought of complaining about learning more

you can have as much REASONABLE info on here you want and if i want i will absorb it, if not i will laugh or snicker and move along.....

thanks for all of everyones input, this place rocks!!! to coin a phrase from my kids

My coments probable don't count for mush but: I see nothing wrong with things that go on about the tractor yard or house---shop building, water pressure- electric hookup, and now and then a auto problem. All pretty much connected in some way to running or fixing a tractor. I'd just as soon that derogatory comments on people, or religion, or partys were some where else. Kim was kind enough to make a place for those things.

Yea, I don't even mind a joke now and then if it isn't too nasty.

Well lets see. The I beam was straightened by driving on it with a tractor. A tractor with a backhoe could be used to dig the ditch for the sewage line. Someone could run over Rosie with a tractor. How are any not tractor related?

At one time the general concensus was, off topic posts were ok if:
1) They were titled with OT
2) nonpolitical - there is a forum for that
3) they aren't degrading, demeaning or otherwise controversial

While the title of this forum is Tractor Talk it is more of a fun virtual coffee shop. We don't all have good spelling or grammar but we make do, Just try to NOT SHOUT to much.

I don't post much, but said my peace this time.

Ok bring it on.

Just love this site, like the man said I learn all sorts of stuff. A little off topic is just fine, if you don't like a topic, don't read it. JMHO
