I have a Massey Ferguson 35 gas tractor. I want to change the hydrolic oil an was told the filler plug is located on the transmission next to the gear shift an that both the trans and hydrolic system use from the same reservoir. Is the correct or where do you fill the hydrolic case?

Be sure not to overfill it!!!! I filled mine til it read right on the stick, then stopped. It took more oil than the book said. The next morning when everything had time to settle, the excessive oill was leaking out of the dipstick hole. Had to drain those two gallons back out. The fill hole is to the left of the shifters and the dipstick is on the right rear in front of the rear axle. The plugs should be 1 1/16 in wrench, and there should be two. Park it so that these are on the low side to make sure that any water drains out. Let it drain for a while cause the stuff is a little thick. Good Luck, Aaron

Fill point is correct. If I remember it right there are two drain points, One for the transmission, and another for the differential / final drives. This is a great time to check if there is any metal flaking especially in the differential case. The Massey I had needed the main bearing replaced on the differential. This was because the pivot bushings for the 3-point rockshaft had worn through to the casting and needed replaced. There was a lot of metal floating around in there. I hope that yours is clean and golden.

Yes, they use the same reservoir. Use MF perma-tran III oil for best performance. Dave
