We just bought a 9n from somone out of their garage. The motor is out of it, so the trans is on a bottle jack, all the front is still attached. Is there any way to rig it up? Did any of you guys move one like this before?....need to make 2 turns and keep it together as it gets winched on the trailer. Input is helpful. Thanks

hook front end up, radius arms bolted to trans. run a chain or strap under the trans and around the radius arms, that will give it support sort of a cradle and you kin haul it fer as you want. even drive it around. I have a pix if you need it or will look fer it and post. No problem done it many of a time

Well, what the heck.. just set the front end down on a small dolly of some sort, and just pull it on out, no rigging anything or welding nothing, just set it down on a dolly and go.

OK, here is what I did to load Ford tractor with same problem. I had a small axel from a trailer I shortened it to 4 ft wide, welded a 2 inch ball on top center of the axel, I also welded a piece of 4 inch channel iron in the center of the axel, with hole on the outer end, to use as a tongue.

I then found a cheap trailer coupler(tongue) for 2 inch ball, welded two pieces of chain to it (long enough to go to top of bellhousing from each side. I then used a small chain binder on the pieces of chain to hold coupler underneigh the bell housing.

Attach axel to tractor via the coupler and ball on the axel, hook a winch or 4/wheeler to the channel iron tongue. Then it is just a matter of guiding it around and pulling it upon the trailer. HTH

It's probably just as easy to throw the block back in it and bolt the front axle back on it so you can move it around.
