Today I drove the 285 down to the dealer for a major overhaul. Gonna finally fix that leaking head gasket, then replace the original clutch with 6200 hours on it and check out the PTO brake while they've got it. That tractor never did like running the silo blower, just trashes the PTO so it doesn't stop running, or it'll run for about 10 minutes when first started up. Now the 1600 is back on the blower with a straight shaft that dirves the PTO instead of the hydraulics, and that's a truely great tractor for filing silos.

Handles the blower better with it's 60-70 HP than our 285 with 75-85.

Now, i gotta go get gas in my car, try to sleep for 2 hours or so, then catch a plane to Jacksonville NC. Transfering in Atlanta, should be on ground again by 1:00 in the afternoon.... Now to make up for the 2 hour time difference with the time zone switch and daylite savings..... See you guys in a week!!

Last year it went up because the cost per barrel of oil went up, this year the cost of barrel went down so why is the cost of gas going UP.
Don't you just love that new MATH.

Have a good flight. I hope your transfer in Atlanta is on the same airline within the same terminal. Thats an awfully big place to have to switch airplanes.
