Oh, and another thing, one old fart told me (before it sold) that that M was only worth $250. I said, "surely with that loader it is worth more" "that loader is not worth a darn" he replied. Sure it's just an old trip-bucket loader, sure it is not as nice as say... a Farmhand F-11, but it is still nothing to sneeze at. Then he said that he has been buying running Hs for $500..."just have to paint them" then no doubt selling them for $2000 :-)

It is just funny listening to some people talk :-)

656 gas utility, no 3-point ~$7200

666 Farmall hydro gas w/F11 loader ~$6000

M Farmall ~$1100

IH 120 drawbar mount balanced head mower, 9-foot bar ~$700

IH 1688 combine w/straight header $39,000

All ran good and were in good shape, dunno if the 666 had a 3-point or not. Dad ran the M up to $900 and let it go, just don't have a use for it.

Didn't really pay attention to the non-IH stuff, but things were selling pretty good overall. Dad's deal of the day was a like-new paper pulley for a W-9 for $20.

Boy, I think I would have bid on that M Farmall and loader if it was in any condition. Sure seems cheap enough.

Yea, if I would of had the money, I would have bought it. I think it went that cheap because it was nearly dark, most of the people had left and it was the very LAST item to sell.

"Went that cheap"? You don't know how high the winner was willing to go if someone else had kept bidding against him.

Yeah, I often think "I should have bid on that". Then I think "How high would have the other guy gone?" Sometimes you just have to let someone else get the bargain.
