I bought a Super A and it has a 6 volt battery that is positive ground. I have a 6 volt charger and when you charge the battery do you connect Positive to ground and neg to positive or just connect ground to ground and negative to negative. I know I had a discussion on here years ago on this topic and can't remember. I know that you can change the polarity of a battery.

Quick test to make sure you hooked her up right. With the charger UNpluged hook the clips up. If you have them backerds the gauge needle on the charger will slam over to the right. If you have it correct it will not move till you plug it in. jeffcat

Only concern is if you happen to have an ancient battery charger that internally connects the (-) lead to the chassis. In that case, just don't let the charger chassis touch the tractor & you'll be fine. I always set mine on top of the rear tire.

You connect positive to positive and negative to negative, what the ground polarity is has NOTHING to do with it.

yep if you hook up the charger according to the + and - on the battery you will be fine.
