Hi Gang;
You can see the diesel tank is situated below the driver's seat. This is the s2nd version, the 4/25 decal denotes 4 cylinder & 25HP gross.
When the group name was changed from BMC to Leyland, all the old Nuffield tractors were restyled and the colour changed to light blue tinwork, dark blue castings & silver wheels.
The Mini was improved with a larger 1500cc diesel engine from a van. Still was not a success!
An off farm version like this one would make around $2000 today. Not a popular tractor with collectors due to the difficulty of finding spares.
Cheers David

if i remember rightly, at some point i read in a tractor book that some of the re-design work was done by Ferguson, as in the other half of Massey, that would explain the similarity.

From my experiences in the early 60s with British cars, Leyland always over built and BMC was always marginal. MGs vs Triumph.
We always referd to the Triumph as built with tractor engines.

Neat David...that dash has alot of characteristics of a Ferguson...and the seat pan looks like a later Massey Ferguson. Very cool
