Just looked at the thermometer and it is 39 out with a strong south wind.

A little rain but no ice or snow thank God.

Gary

66 here in Austin, Texas, should see 70. It"s a tad breezy though, and sunny... Another typical Texas March day.

Snowing , blowing like the dickens here, blew the driveway out this am , wasnt bad at for the east wind, now I got a strong north wind and it is blown shut, gotta get it passable for the elementary bus, then 2 hours later I'll have to open it up for the high school bus, then later for the wife, if she makes it this far. Darned school should have released 4 hours ago!! This one so far is much worse than last saturday.

At 10am, the storm is stalled over us, ten inches on the ground, since 4am, estimates may reach 20inches, which means drifts over six foot easily, 30mph winds, can barely see out as the snow is plastering the window screens. Visibility is worse, all the roads closed now. Weather service just termed this a major blizzard. Supposed to quit, going to the basement, put some fuel in the snowblower. Glad the pantry is nicely stocked.

I gots plenty of beverage gene.

We are always prepared for a storm on them supplies.

Just came home up 380 from Ia City and the interstate is still opened at 1:00.

Wind is still out of the south here so just put on a sail gene and when you see the Ia River roll it in and you will land at my place.

Snow blowing pretty good in far eastern nebraska, can't see the barn, its almost 150 feet from the house. Swept the snow off the porch, about 3 inches so far, there is ice underneath and a gust took one of the cats right off that porch, too slick. State patrol not recommending travel, called work, about everything canceled. Put some more wood in the stove, will wait around til the lights blink, but the wires don't look too iced up. Going to catch up on my reading. John

Gary would not be complaining to much, still no power here again, Thats what the old pto generators were for years ago. goes with living in the rural areas. either no juice or roads blowed in. Wouldn't move to the town thou, you learn to deal with it. they doing there best and its not power lines fault. Five different state are in the area now puting up poles and lines. Dozer looking out fits literly pulling the big line trucks down the fields

Morning Rick

I'm not complaining at all.

The way the weather guessers were talking I thought we would either be iced in or snowed in this morning.

I guess I was to ready for this one after getting a generator on Monday and all.

Yeah those guys that are still out of electricity
have my sympathy. 2 1/2 days was enough for me.

Gary

Gary, sorry for the recommendations on the meter yesterday,I thought you had bought a larger unit until I saw The TSC part. Those smaller units are harder to get set right and hold the settings.Again sorry for the post.
