I am in the process of buying some land in Pine County, MN. I will be putting up a 40x60 building with 14' walls.

Any suggestions on a builder? I am interested in any comments either positive or negative.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul, Your not too far from me. From recent experiance, two things come to mind, are you putting a slab in, and is it clay or sand ground? Of course there is difference in cost, but stick built does a lot better on the clayground. I would sure price around, between Lesters, local contractors, etc. email is open. Bernsy

i have had morton do two building for me and am very happy. get the roof insulation if you can, they are foam panels about 1/2 inch thick that lay just under the tin on the roof. otherwise, it rains inside the barn when the sun comes up.

Paul, Sherman Pole Buildings out of Mora built mine back in 2004. Price was cheaper than 3 other places I checked with, and I am VERY satisfied with my building. Quality through and through, very professional people. They were prompt on time, and had my building done in 1 1/2 days. Highly recomended!

What did they build for you?

Do you know anyone who they put up a building for longer ago?

Do you have a picture of your building?

The company has been around since the 1970's that I know of. They started off building dairy barns. They built a 30x48x14 for me. Mine has 4 slider windows in it, one service door, and a 12x16 overhead roll up door. I don't know how to post a picture, but I'll leave my email open and I'd gladly email some to you if you would like.

Lesters=Cleary=Morton=Wicks are all Northern States Builders and offer an unconditional Snow Load Warranty which would be of prime concern to me in addition to misc. Warrantys such as Paint and Steel failures, Lumber,Pole Delamination,Fastner failures and the list grows.. Will a Private contractor offer the same? I think not.Stick with the Builders who have the experience and the financial backing to protect your purchase/investment. My opinion. John

I'll second Lester Buildings. They've been in the business for a long time. Lot's of their buildings around the area.

Not famialiar with where Pine county is. What is the nearest big town. Central MN. Christenson Bros did mine, 36x48, they did a great job and fast. There is a Gapinski, Foley, brother of a freind, does really great job and reasonable, has done some really big pole buildings. There is a young guy by the last name Pantzke in Little Falls, will do everything from leveling to sheetrocking if you wanted , all himself no subcontracts. I can get you the #'s of the later 2 if you want. Just email me.
