My father-in-law bought my wife and I one 2 yrs. ago. What a wonderful little heater. If you run it like it says, you will hardly notice a difference on your electric bill. If you let it run wide open all the time, ouch. This past fall I didn"t even light the pilot light on the furnace until Dec. Only cost like $10-15 dollars a month more for electricity during that time. My old house has no insulation and a OLD furnace that is very inefficent. Not lighting my pilot caused the gas company to think that my meter wasn"t working. They wanted to come over and inspect it. They found that everything was as it is suppossed to be. It worked so well that a friend bought one to stick in his finished basement that was too cold to use in the winter before now. He loves it and his 1st electric bill was only $10 more than usual. Plus both of us have toddlers and it is wonderful that there is no possible way for our children to get burnt on them. Overall I love the EdenPure.

The large unit cost about 400.00 and the smaller unit is 100 dollars less. Two of my friends have them and they swear by them. I don't know myself, don't have one.

Their info-mercial on early morning TV is a total turn-off for someone who likes to know how things work. I have no idea what is inside that cabinet other than maybe a fan.

Do a search, there was extensive talk on this a couple weeks ago, I think on Tool Talk. Most folks said forget it. Tom

ALL electric heaters put out the same amount of heat from a Watt of electricity, whether they are a cheap $20.00 unit from the "Land of Almost Right", by way of WaldoWorld, or one of those "I'm afraid to even ask what it costs units".

What do YOU figure the $$$$$ heater will do for you that an ordinary electric heater WON'T???
