Not that it makes a lot of difference is it a black stripe 10 and does it have a cab? the later 10's had a little more umpf and about 200 more rpm's and about ten more hp according to Nebraska tests.

Well i did one up for a guy several years ago and it needed everything engine T/A and clutch gears in the transmission and both top and bottom shafts all bearing seals misc. sheetmetal tire seat and wiring and a top of the line paint job and with my labor parts and my buddy's top of the line paint job he had just shy of 18500 in it and i could have sold him a good go to the fiel one for 8950 but that is not what he wanted like he said now he knows what he has .

It depends on how you feel about the machine. I get attached to some of my equipment and I will put more money into them than they are probably worth, but I plan on keeping them long enough to get the use back out of them.

It will be like trying to fill a bucket with water that has no bottom.

You can pour as much money in 'em as you've a mind to. They certainly cost more to repair than the original selling price. :>(

If I fix it all up and spend $15-18,000. on it I will only be fixing it up for someone else to buy at .50 on the dollar. Its diffently is not in a class like the older H and M 560's are where they will appreciate on their own. Maybe 30 years from now. I think I would be out of my mind to fix it, anyone would be.

You may be out of your mind to fix it.

OOOORRRRR maybe not.

You spend 15 to 18 to fix and you got a tractor that you know is good and will last a while.

Or you spend 15 to 18 for another used tractor (that you think is better than the one you have)and it blows up the next week.

15 to 18 will not but a new one of that HP.

Gary
