This past fall I purchased an old IH hay rake on rubber. The ID tage is missing and there are no numbers painted on the frame anywhere. This rake has a chain running from the axle to a jackshaft then off the end jackshaft there is a drive shaft that runs to the gearbox. Also this is a 5 bar rake. I Have other rakes but all John Deere, I'm not very familliar with the IH models.Any info. on picturs or any other way of identifing this rake would be appreciated
Thanks Jim WJ

I am assuming it is a #15 IH rake by the description cause it is the same description of mine.

Could be a No. 15. It would have two 15" wheels bolted to the hubs with (4) holes which are mounted on a long rear axle and do not pivot like rear caster wheels. Would not have a tongue but just the frame that comes together with a hitch plate where attached to the drawbar. It would also have (9) strippers and would have (100) single rake teeth instead of double rake teeth. The No. 15 was made from 1956 to 1963. If this doesn't fit the description of your rake please provide more information relative to design and number, size and location of all ground contact wheels. Hope this helps, Hal
