I am rebuilding a original v-8 engine out of a 1954. I need the engine specs:size, bore, stoke, torq values, valve setting, tune up,etc, etc, etc, I posted this on Classic Trucks but got nothing to what I am needing. Can some one help out as I can"t find any books that go back that far. Thanks

Get yourself a copy of "Hemmings Motor News" the bible source for old vehicles. You can find anything you need for the F100. Better availability of parts now then when they were new.

Did you try the ford truck enthusiasts site, there's quite a bit going on there for these old fords. If that V-8 is a Y-block, there seems to be lot of parts on E-bay, I've seen brand new heads still in the wrapper etc.
