Hi Gang;
Driving around the south Pembrokeshire coastline and came accross THIS !
Obviously some form of eco house. Never seen anything like it before, and no-one about to ask about it.
Hope you dont mind that I am only posting pictures of countryside right now - no tractors at work to photo until spring.
Cheers David

It appears to be an Iraqi lookout post. Is George W scheduled to be in the area anytime in the next little while?

Its not a remodeled WWII coastal defense bunker is it?
Looks like it could have been and now made into a house

That's what you need David along with a few sheep to mow the lawn lol. Use to be lots of old dug out homes on the prairie frontiers here and you still see a few later ones made of concrete and regular roofs just above ground. The one you pictured sure would be less maintainance though.

Gary, are you from lexington? I am in midway. I remember the fire house you are talking about, just haven't been by it in a long time.

David-

Tractors or no tractors, I love your photos! Keep them coming. My paternal AND maternal great-grandparents all came to the US from Wales, so I enjoy seeing photos of the land of my beginnings. (Does all of this make me a "Welsh-American" as the hyphenated trend goes today?)

G'Day David - A neighbour here in Ontario built a similar house back in the early 60's and is very happy with it.Stays at the same temp all year round, never has to re-roof it and his cattle keep the grass trimmed.

I thought I was being smart with my newly installed geothermal system, but this guy looks like a real purist. Wonder if he at least has a window overlooking the ocean.
