Disapointing at best. I at first was thrilled to see RFD. Now all you see is horse crap, and reruns of anything that was worth watching---I'm very disapointed and can only predict a slow death to RFD. Another observation is their adds are so friequent that I feel a adverse effect has taken place in my mind. RFD is the only thing they advertize it seems. Another sad observation of tough financial problems perhaps. I belong to a small antique club and for years I have had the privalage to run the big rock crusher as well as a brick making machine. (to date no one has taken my job away or even suggested they would like to.)The rock crusher can be pulled with a AC WD, A JD, Or a H Farmall. It seemed no one ever took the time to walk over to our location untill we started belting up a A JD with a burned out muffler, and put the throttle wide open to start the belt. It actually puts the A on her knees to start the big flywheel in motion. Since we started doing this it seems they come out of the wood work to see what the noise is all about. RFD could film a saw mill, plowing, or just about anything where the tractor has to stand its ground. I just can't see it being very expensive. I have flickey fingers so every now and then I run across the cattle auctions, and I simply can not believe the quality of auctioneers. Once in a great while I can figure out the lot number, & that is on a good day. I can only hope the auctioneer could aford a set of teeth, and would show the grace of spitting out his chew before crying. Must be a good ol boy that owns the show. Oh sure it probably seems we could do a better job, but I purchased Mediacon just mainly for RFD and now I never watch it. I do truley believe there is alot of intresting farm related events to show. I bought some videos probably twenty years ago that just had buldozers shoving dirt, tractors plowing / field work with someone running a video camera. They were real popular with the adults as well as the kids. I know getting rid of a CEO is a tough job, but I can't help thinking they better figure out a new format if they want any future.
