A buddy wanted my to try to figure out what kind of Yamaha engine he is messing with. He has no info on it other than it has a model code yam3uc0176 , emission code 3uc2179x-00 , engine code 9c68uca01m0007052. He says that the owner that gave it to him says that it used to be his sons dirt bike. Thanks in advance.

Google is your friend. Search for "VIN Decoding" and you'll get 638,000 hits.

Here's the link to one result on your VIN.

You had a bunch of letter "o"'s in the VIN, instead of number "Zero"s.

Other sites I play with say this VIN does not conform. In fact, VinView mentioned above, shows the 9th digit as invalid.
