440 cuyuna snowmobile engine

ran sled out in snow the other day it just quits. pulld heads off a little bit of piston was on spark plug. cleaned it off still wont start. it has real good spark. plugs are wet but wont fire. could it be some old gas not burnning. emptyed tank put in fresh. puzzled!

You siezed the piston rings. Do a compression check. I would bet you have about 120 on one side and about 60 on the bad side. Piston melts and makes the rings stick in place. Then they wont seal against the cylinder and it wont start. Been doing snowmobile riding and racing for years. Parts should be easy to get. Good luck, start with compression check. Later.

Your engine is running lean not enough fuel
getting in or maybe crankshaft seals . Fix it or
you will have a hole in the top of the piston.

Sounds like you are running lean due to a plugged main jet.
