Fired up the old IH 454 last night to move some hay for the cattle. Grant it, It's cold so I let the old girl warm up real good before moving the hay. She really sounded different, thought it was a cracked manifold, Nope. Sounds more like a wrist pin or a bearing. SO I opened the wallet and found 13 dollars. I think it gonna be a long winter and spring getting this old girl purring again. Hey maybe I'll ship it out to Allen, last I heard he has sleep in a month.

Just my daily rant fellas, stay warm.
Sam

seems like everything falls apart during the winter!!

It's one thing to have dead batteries in all of my internationals.

It's ANOTHER thing to crank a john deere over only to find out that the top of the piston broke off (thanks to a broken worn out ring that lodged on the cylinder wall and broke the top of the piston off) and won't allow it to start. thank goodness it just gave up while cranking... Could have done something worse!
