Hi Gang;
This is the oposite side of the earlier picture. You can see the orignal doorway with a portculis at the top of the archway. This was heavy wooden mesh "gate" which dropped down to help prevent invaders getting into the castle.
The window with the bars is the room that has been reserved for "cowmans" vacation ! LoL.

Hey David, How were those castles put together, was the crude cement back then? Or did they just stack rock.
