Hi, I saw this hyd pump on ebay. Does anybody know will this fit on my Allis B? What should this pump cost? Can these hyd pumps be bought new? Any help would be appreciated. My manual lift is getting harder to work I guess it is an age thing. Me more than the B. Thanks Becky

If you can come up with a drive gear it would not be hard to come up with a pump and you could always go with a crankshaft driven pump. More questions? J,

Can't say about that pump but you know they made a hyd pump that goes in the PTO area of that tractor and they are very common. Shoot I have 2 tractors with them and 2 with out.

But Rich..... ....if Becky wants a live pump....needs to connect directly to the engine. On that one, it's pretty much to the front pulley, but I guess this is a gov/mag/distributor drive that was available from an aftemarket source like CharLynn, shorty after we were born. I've seen where some used power steering pumps connected to front pulleys for aux hyd. If she could access any front pulley for a drive she could hang anything there, plumb it into a reservoir, valve stack, etc. AC and many others still provide pump to fit, as well as what us 'dumpsterdivers' find.

Well up till today I had never heard of the live pump for them but you learn new things all the time. I had a Farmall B that I used a power steering pump on and it worked well for the sickle mower I rebuilt to fit on it. The mower was made from a #3 sickle mower and some odds and ends from a Ford 501 mower. I used it to mow hay for years till I got my NH 460 MOCO

It will probably work, but I'm not an expert on Allis-Chalmers. Keep in mind that you will also need some type of reservoir, plus hydraulic controls, hoses, and then you will need hydraulic cylinders for your implements. All of it can be done, just depends on how much money you want to spend. If you use your tractor a lot, it would be worth it.
