HI Gang;
The TV is full of the awful news that a large poulty farm in Norfolk (on the east coast) has got Bird Flu.
158,000 young turkeys have had to be slaughtered, the carcass' are being taken by truck 150 miles to an incerator !!!
They have no idea how the turkeys contracted the virus because the birds are in sealed buildings.
Bad news for British farming, follows on from BSE and Foot & Mouth. Farming is in a real bad way here.
Cheers David

I wonder what chick fillet, the kernel and the other chicken places are going to do when it gets here ?
Even if it does not hit too bad, do you think people will buy chicken ?

It'll probably hurt sales bad. After all, people are dumber than sheep and the TV folk have a vested interest in scaring the beejeebers out of everybody.
Of course they'll carefully explain why you can't catch the flu by eating fried chicken, but they'll do it in the TV version of small print to avoid accidentally reassuring anybody.
Good luck to us all,
Wm

Most commercial house's have very strict biosecurity measures. I know I do. Some how, it got introduced to the flock, probably through poor practicec or not following proper procedures. Was it an enclosed facility? Media hype will hurt the farmers far more than anything.

Road bowling. You must make a course in the least amount of throws. Off the road is out of bounds.
