Im looking at buying a 5088 . Yes it has the trans update or at least $4000 worth of trany repair. Hopefully he has the paper work. Dont know about the sentry part though. Anyway it has low hrs and has sat in a shed for about 3 or 4 years. Maybe started 2 times a year. Was courious about seals and o-rings and that kinda stuff being dried out form lack of use. Basicly bought em new and didnt have much ground. His boy wanted 30" rows and etc, so they farmed seperate. What else should I be looking for on this?

Any info would be great.

Thanks
Gary

Ya I should of thought of that. We run em a little in the winter to lube em up. Proably R12 and since something has come out to replace 134A I hear thats proably a plus. I would emagine alot of that stuff would get switched. I figure it will be low on freeon anyway. Been told R12 is expensive so figured on converting over and solving the problem.

Air conditioning!!! I bought a tractor that had sat for over two years and had nothing but troubles with the air until I replaced the pump, tx valve and receiver dryer. Of course the air tech did this stuff on three different occasions. He went over every inch of the system with one of those scanners but the leak was so slow it wasn't detected because the leaking seal was right behind the quick couplers for his gauges. Third time got new guy who replace pump and nitrogen test it now no problem. He said anytime an air conditioning system sits that long without regular starting the seals in the pump will dry allowing the freon to escape. He also said to never turn the air off even in winter so every time the tractor works so does the air system.
