Pertronix Ignition Anyone?

I've been reading about these things so I gave it a try. It took a couple of weeks for the folks at Retro Rockets to get mine from England. (FE35/Lucas distributor). I put it in this morning and it fired off as soon as I hit the switch. That was a surprise considering my talent for screwing things up. Haven't tried it in the real world yet. We'll see.

They been around longer than most would guess and we use to put them on irrigation engines way back when still called Perlux before they changed the name. It always depends on the person or quality of the installation or if distributor is slap worn out too.

Best investment I ever made. Like the others said, starts on first crank, doesn't load up anymore, and runs much better.
