We are having issues with 2 squirrels that have gotten into the house. They have been in and out for about a month now and recently my wife seen them. I have set live traps, but they seem not to bother with them. Is there a bait I can use that will draw them in? I tried quartering an apple, but its been a week and nothing has happened. My wife says they go in there everyday, but I want them out. Thanks

I cleared about 75 out of our backyard with havahart trap and cheap peanut butter, these were grey squirrels

neighbors thought I was re-locating them after I got them, I know what happened to them

Better yet how/where are they getting in and how can you stop them? Drain tile, cellar or roof vent? Gramma-in-law had a woodstove outlet on her kitchen wall covered with one of those paper-plate looking tin covers. Squirrel figured out how to swing it over and enter. Granny almost had a heart attack chasing that squirrel with the broom! She also had a wood chuck come in the basement thru a floor drain.

Matt, Try putting a birdfeeder w/sunflower seeds in it along with some peanut suet cakes out. Than sit back with the .22 or pellet gun and wait for them to show up. Can't miss with this set up, they show up at mine everyday for breakfast and again for there afternoon snack.
