Model # DBGFC63 _ _ -1AE 1800RPM

MFG# 278346-R91

I couldn't quite see the two numbers on the tag before the 1AE in model number.

The serial number on the tractor is like 9742 or something like that I believe it to be a 59.

It has the delta on the tag so I presume that means the rearend has been updated.

Is there any way I can get some more juice out of this pump?? I would like to turn it up if possible. I know the 282 runs at 2800 on the 660 and puts out HP in the 80s.

Any ideas from you guys with more POWER...oh oh oh, maybe a Binford 9000 pump from Tool Time might do it?

I have turned a few roosa pumps up on my tractors.IH,Oliver.One of my 560s I put a pump off a 806 and runs the 2400rpm like the 806 rated speed and also has a turbo .The 806 pump is the 370 size pump head where the 560 is the 350 size head. Those two no. that you couldn't read probably were 35 meaning 350.To get the most fuel you need to take the top off the pump with the 3 screws that hold it on,remove the throttle linkage and the long spring and down in the bottom you will see a small hole and by turning the engine over by hand a allen head screw will apear thats your leaf spring setting.Turn that clockwise that will get you more fuel if you tighten it clear down that will give you the max.Like Brian said theirs the external smoke screw also that might get a little more but nothing like the internal one will.

So will this just up the fuel or increase rpms??

Am I going to cause starting issues if I increase the fuel?

IF I run it down to the max inside on that allen screw will that make it hard starting?

Is there a seal I need to get before I crack that cover on the top of the pump to adjust that allen screw?

Will I need to bleed the injectors after opening the pump?

Sorry to sound so stupid and green but never done anything like this before.

What kind of a pump does a 660 have on it that turns this motor 2800 rpms? Maybe I should look for one of those?

The rpm will stay the same this just turns the fuel up.On your throttle linkage theirs two screws one for idle setting and one for advance or more rpm you can shorten the length that should give more rpm when you pull the throttle lever down.It will smoke more when you start it just hold the glow plugs a little longer it will clear out.If you want a pump that gives you the most rpm for that engine is a pump off a 715 301 cid combine engine 2800 to 3000rpm.

Unless you are the original owner or know the original owner very well, I would be suprised if it's not already turned up. There is a screw on the back that goes in at a angle that turns them up (& down) by adding fuel however I would put it on a dyno to do this to be sure it's not already turned up, and to know how much hp it's making. There is a point where your not adding usable fuel and just waisting it.

it doesnt seem to be turned up, it only runs 1800 rpms on the tach, would the rpms increase if it was turned up as you adjust that screw?

this tractor was owned by my father in law for many years and he never touched anything mechanical. It doesnt seem near as peppy as my dads 560 diesel.
