Read his first post. "i was up on the roof" Enough said about that.

As for my high horse, there isnt one. I Served in the military over 7 years and would have stayed had my daughter not had problems at birth that required us to move. You seem to be the one jumping to conclusions. I donate time and money to the needy and the truely disabled. If you can climb on your roof and can type on computer there are jobs out there for you.

As for the handicap sticker people it was an observation and my own personal opinion that if you need special parking spot because your back hurts to walk too far, or your knees are bad, you dont need to be getting in a Tall 4wd pick-up and pushing a loaded cart of crap. Buy a Smaller car to help with your comfort and not a rough and tall truck that Is generally harder for a non-handicapped individual to get in.

There was nothing said to you anyway I simply asked Old what his disabilty was and voiced my opinion, as others on here have, and asked for a response. Do you know him personally? I dont. I wanted an answer. If he was on the roof as he stated he was 1/2 way to getting his roof temp fixed. he's waiting for a hand out. Thats my opinion.

now that I am speaking to you, you should respond otherwise let old speak for himself.

Let me say this please. Yes I'm disabled but I'm not dead, I have my pride and I do as much for my self as I can. Yes I can get up on my roof, its almost flat and yes I can sit here and type on the computer for an hour r so. But then I have to get up and do something else. If you where to look on my self above my special chair you would see about 15 bottles of pills. Yes some I don't take often because I hate takeing pills for pain. Some I have to take daily, one for high blood preassure and one for stomach problems. I have a bad back and my L-5-S-1 dics has been removed. I have 2 bad knees and my right shoulder is shoot. Most disable people hate it that they can't do what they did once but we also do our best to do as much as we can for our selfs and in my case also for others. Yes I hunt yes I drive tractors, doctor gets mad when he heres I have, yes I do a lot of other things. But it takes me a week to do what it took me years ago to do in a day.
I'm not asking for a hand out but I,m asking for a hand up so I can keep liveing the way I do. If I don't keep active I have to go the phycal threrphy and guess waht thats payed for by medicare so it costs the tax payer even more so I keep as active as I can so I don't have to see doctors and do the other stuff.

Yeppers,I claim to be a friend of Old's, even though never having the oppertunity to personal meet him. I was raised old school, you stick up for friends, family and neighbors. And try not to judge a book by it's cover. I commend you for your service time. I enlisted Feb.1959 final ETS April 28,1968 US Army, Life time member of the DAV.

And if I remember correctly this is an open forum, and I do not recall Old responding personally to you either. No disrespect intended!!

I deal with handi-capp each and everyday, have a son born with cerebral-palsi and brain damage, now 20 soon to be 21 (Shawn), It has been an honor to be his father and getting to know his friends. Am active with the Special Olympics in my area, which is a great honor and privelige to work with these wonderful kids and adults (kids).I donot donate money nor time, I get the priveliege of them sharing their time with me!!

I have always tried not to judge another untill I walked in their shoes.

Keith & Shawn
