I'm interested in antique JD tractors. I live on the south side of Denver. Can anyone tell me where or when there is going to be an event around this area? I would like to be able to get around some of these machines up close and be able to talk to the owners. I will also post this question on the JD forum. Thanks. B. Abseck

Larry

Thanks for posting the Front Range web page. I really enjoyed looking at whats going on up there. Wish I was closer to take part. Might see you this year in Lamar, hoping to get to that one this year.

Hi, whereabouts on the south side of Denver do you live? I'm about 10 miles east of Parker.

If you're interested in pulling, check out the Rocky Mountain Tractor Pullers (link below). They hold a number of events around Denver each year.

I've heard rumblings of another organization on the North side of Denver called Colorado Old Iron, but have never been able to find out any specifics or a web site. I'm a memeber of FRAPA, but haven't been very active due to job pressures.

Yuma Old Threshers sponsor an event in Yuma every fall, which I haven't been able to make it to yet (they have a web site). There's also a large show in Bird City Kansas the last weekend of July every year. Went a couple years ago, well worth the trip.

Keith

The Front Range Antique Power Association has several events each year. Their headquarters is at the Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield. Log on to www.frapa.us to see different events they hold. I believe the next show is going to be at the Westminster Mall starting Mar 1 thru Mar 4th. Usually there is a plow day during the spring and several more exibitions and parades during the summer months. Hope this helps. Larry

Every 4th of July Bob and Pat Gilley at their Travelport Campground at Lake George Colorado Host one of the best Old Tractor Pulls you will see.Check out Bob's Allis Chalmers Model A made about 1929 I think. Then at the County Fair a couple of weeks later in Salida Colo.they have another pull. Colorado has a number of Old Tractor events all worth your time to attend.See ya' John

There are several pulls in So. Colorado, check the 2007 Show Guide. Last year there were several around Lamar. I was at one back in 94 right in Denver, it was called the Apple Festival.
