Nice wet 11-12" snow till wind blew all Sat. night 30-40 mph drifting it. Looked out Sat. night and could see chunks of snow blowing by where it blew it out to bare ground and tumble weeds going by too sure makes a mess. Oh well will be wet when it melts someday and thankful for that and power stayed on this time.

Hi Glen,
From the pictures you posted looks like the snow probably blew in from another county. Sure is flat ground out there. LoL
Guess this is the only way your getting the moister you been needing since last summer.

Like Mike said from Ohio all we"ve had is a light dusting of snow here in MI. But we have had alot of rain here in MI also. Way to much!!
Take Care. Mike

Hi Glen,
I might have made it down that road to your house on New Year's, but don't think that I would make down there today. Take care and try to stay warm.

Jim

Wow, I am here in central MN, with less than 1" of snow on the ground. Did ol man winter forget which end was north? I have to say that I really dont mind not having to move snow off the 1/2 mile drive. Dont have a cab on the 544. Kids are getting more miles on their bikes than they are their sleds

Yeah that was deepest drifts and had to raise up the old Farmhand land float there and 6 rear packer tires leave furrows in snow. It wasn't really made for blading snow but does the job if not too deep and just a takes a few more passes to get it cleared smooth. Those duals got to come off if we get more snow too. third party image

I had to laugh at my brother down in texas who was complaining about the cold temps and precipitation down there. He moved from Ohio to get away from that sort of thing.

Go not far off the caprock SE or 50 miles south of here and their little snow is done gone and melted. For W TX panhandle this storm still wasn't that bad or the worst either.

I'm about 70 miles due south of Cleveland Ohio and so far this year only a light dusting of snow. It has been very warm until now it just started getting cold enough to freeze. Lots of rain this past year and even this month too.

I'm about 45 miles south of cleveland along 77. It's cold here, in the low 20s-low 30s and have about 2 inches of snow on the ground. It was realy nice, in the 60s, until the first week of Jan.

Believe me I was happy that it lost its thunder before it got all the way up here. I didn't need all the snow after all the ice we got. We did get 2 inches of the stuff and that was better then the 6 inches they said we would get. Just look at it this way. The water will help and the extra nitrogen it will put in the soil will also help

I know you weren't needing it for sure. Think some here got 14-16" too and 12 was less than the 18 they were calling for. Yeah moisture wise we are much better off than we were this time last 2 years so the wet is welcome. The storm they predicted for Sunday and Monday stayed out west of us in New Mexico which was okay too. Suppose to have chances for another one this weekend.

West TX panhandle area SW of Amarillo close to NM. Good moisture better than a dust storm.
