Took my Grand Daughter for a ride today in my pickup to do a few things, one was to get gas. While pumping gas Grand Daughter managed to open my new battery post cleaning brush, took it apart and got the brush end tangeled up in her hair so bad it took almost 1/2 hr to untangle it. couldn't cut it out, would have taken too much hair, and her mom would have been mad at both of us. At my work bench she pulled my 50 ft tape all the way out an was trying to push it back in until I showded her the handle to turn to wind it back. At five she is full of questions, and needs to handle everything. I guess that's normal. Stan

Gotta watch 'em! And if there's anthing a kid WON'T do, it hasn't been discovered yet.

When my daughter was about 4, she was in the barn with my Dad and me while we were getting equipment ready for spring planting. We suddenly realized she had a small wrench in one hand, and the other hand contained about a half-dozen grease zerk fittings. It took a few minutes to find all the places where she'd removed them!

I know what you mean. My grandfather had a grandson who "helped" him in his blacksmith shop. One day, as he was sharpening harrow teeth in the forge, that grandson proceeded to pick up a freshly sharpened tooth because it had just turned from cherry red to black, so it must be cold ----wasn't.:>)

My dad likes to remind me of the time he got on the tractor hooked up to the corn planter in our barnyard. He was taking the rig to the field to plant. Anyway, he takes off toward the field and the planter is still sitting there where he had been parked.

Little 6 yr. old me had been under that tractor and pulled the pin on the drawbar. I got a not so nice lesson in the seat of my pants out of that experience.

30+ years later now and I have to watch my two sons very carefully.

You got that right.
Sounds like you are going to have a good little helper there.
