Does anyone know anywhere online or elsewhere at a decent price I can buy good tractor lug bolts? I have looked everywhere around here and the only ones I can find are at the JD and New Holland dealerships, but they want like a million bucks a bolt. I need 9/16" for my M&W nine bolt hubs.

Don't know where you are located but I was at a Tractor Supply store a couple of weeks ago and noticed they have a selection of nuts, bolts, lock washers and flat washers. Had soft, #5, and #8 grades. Sold by the pound for whatever grade you want. Did'nt look the display over real good but made a note to get some later. Don't know about threads ( fine, coarse, etc. ). The price seemed pretty decent - although I don't remember what each were.

How long do you need?

Deere # JD21 is just over 2" overall, with a 1.3" thread length. A little less than a buck and a half each... is that cheap enough?

Deere # JD16 has a 1" thread length, @ about $1.10 each.

NAPA has a bucket of lug bolts for cars, tractors, and trucks.

A farm store or a tire store might have them a little cheaper. The ones from the implement dealer might be spendy, but they are good quality. One of those things that sticks in our memory for awhile is the time we lost a dual. It can be very memorable if it comes off on the road and smacks into a car. I'd pay the price and go to Deere or new Holland. Jim
