I seen a display at the farm store selling sea foam engine treatment. What does it do? Has anybody used it, and if someone has, what where the results?

When I bought my motorhome the Onan generator would not stay running without keeping the carb choked. Put a can of SeaFoam in the tank and within an hour of running she ran great. Good stuff.

Company is here in Minnesota I believe.

They have a couple products, generally solvents & stablizers to treat fuel or oil to help clean up & maintain engines under difficult or sitting idle conditions.

Everyone likes it that tries it.

I use it now & then. Nice that it works well in gas & diesel.

Used to get it for $3 a can on sales. Now it's over $5.

Sea Foam is the best stuff we have found for a lot of fuel related problems. We use and sel about 4-5 cases a year and have really good luck with it. If you want to know what it will do read the can, it does what the can says it will do. you will not regret it.

i think it was originally made for winterizing boats that were stored away. i've used it to "fog" my boat engine and treat the gas left in the tank for the winter. it works very well.

I bought a can of the transmission treatment, but haven't used it yet. Should I expect the same results there too, or has anyone else tried it?

Great stuff! Stabilizes fuel if in storage for an extended period of time, none of that varnish that clogs things up. You can search on google for using it to clear out carbon deposits on an engine...

Great stuff! I have a Kawasaki generator that is not used much but recently I had to have on a job site. I got it started but was it was loping. I ran a tank of gas and a can of carb cleaner thru it but it didn"t help. My son told me about this and I got a can. I didn"t read instructions but poured the whole can in. In about five minutes that rascal was running smooth as a kitten. Still is.

I agree, I had used B-12 in the past thinking it had to be the same stuff - if it is it doesn't act the same. I now use SeaFoam at the beginning of the season in all my small engines to clean out the varnish in the fuel system. I had an old riding mower that surging and carb cleaner and other solvents did nothing. After half a can in 2 gallons of gas the thing ran right the rest of the summer.

Seafoam is really good for engines that set a lot and aren't run very often, such as a back-up generator. put it in the gas tank and start the engine, let it run a few minutes,if the engine sets for six months and isn't started again, the gas won't go dead and it will start right back-up.Our Vol. fire departdment uses it in their pumps, generators, etc.

Lots of people like it, almost no one seems to criticize it. I bought a can. Very expensive way to get some simple solvents. Read the contents list. I have not really tested it in use.
