We got ice last night, here. Any where between 1/2-1 inch on every thing. I have at least 2 or 3 trees down from the ice and when I stpped out heard another tree fall some place in the woods. Well at least we still have power. I also wonder if I will be able to get out my mile long drive and if theres any trees laying on the drive. Guess I'll find out later today. I think I'll just stay in the house today and play on the computer or watch some TV

Hey, Old. You just solved one of the problems of the ages..."If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one around to see it, does it still make a sound?" Apparently it does!

Snow started in east central Iowa about an hour ago and the ground is now nearly covered. First real snow of the season and the forecast is for more tomorrow night.

Rick we still don't have any white on the ground here yet. But you can see alittle dusting in the air.

Welcome to the party. I don't don't think you are going to get many takers here in the Northwest as we have had plenty here for quite a while.

Ice is about the worst thing there is. I'd much rather deal with a foot of snow. We are getting very light snow right now. Thermometer reads about 2.

WE didn't get hit that hard here in West Texas, but we still have enough to make driving dangerous. They say OK City is getting hit pretty bad too.

I wish we could get some winter weather. I live in Northern Va, and all we get is 50 degrees and rain. It used to snow around here.

I'm on the south side and it was 67 at 4pm. Ground was frozen about 2 in down last week one night. Other than that it's been like a cool spring. Cattle waterers have frozen over a few times but nothing the cows couldn't take care of and the sun would melt by noon.

Never seen anything like it. Another few warm days and my yard will need mowing.

The grass here at my house in NE Iowa did start to grow . Last weekend I noticed about 1" shoots under the dead grass that wasn't there the week before . It's really not a weird winter , the oldtimers around here remember a winter long ago that they were mowing in Jan. and Feb. . Then it got cold till April . OK , It's a weird winter ! ...Randy
