I'm on the verge of buying a 1959/60 International truck. Just what I need, another really heavy paperweight. : ) The truck is in rough shape, but complete as can be, and doesn't look like much to get it running. Hopefully I'll be able to buy, and the price is very nice. I've always wanted a truck to match my future tractors and I think I might have one here. It's too late for me, but save yourselves!

Got a phone call a little bit ago and the truck is mine!! Now I have to find a way to get it home. It's a good day when you can save something from the scrapman.

I spent a summer in a 10 wheel end dump that had twin sticks in it. Geeeeeze I hated that darned thing. Reaching through the steering wheel with your left arm to get the range while your shifting the other stick with your right.
To this day I wont have a stick in my pickup because of that truck. It wore me out.

Yep drove them one and off my self. My self I will not have a truck with out sticj shift. I'm even think about takeing one of the Aux tranny I have and installing it in place of the carrier bearing on a 1969 chev 3/4 ton so I can have 16 forward gears. But the big reason is that the 4th gear in the aux is an over drive. I'll probably if I get around to it just use 3rd and 4th in the aux tranny since that would give me normal gears and over drive

A buddy of mine bought a '59 IH 1 ton 4X4 dump..6 cylinder , 4 speed..Was an ex-fire truck..When he looked at it , the owner came out and said it was worthless , wouldn't go over 30 miles per hour...Ken bought it without driving it..When he was ready to drive away , he wrestled the transfer case lever into 2 wd and drove it home at 50 mph..If memory serves , $1600.00..He sold it 2 years later because the transmission was a non-syncro , double clutch special...Do ya think he made money on it????
