Hi Gang;
Photo shows how the bracken (type of fern) will cover the hillsides completely choking every other plant. This photo taken today when its died down, it will sprout again in March.
It grows up to 5 feet high. Maybe some of you will recognise the leaves (bottom of photo) and this plant grows in the USA as well.

Bracken ferns are toxic if livestock eat enough of it. Any broadleaf herbicide will kill it.
