Really need some help with the JD A gov.

I had the '37 A out again today and still had the same issues with the governor. It acts like a manual car with no governor with the gas/clutch procedure. It looks like to me throtthe linkages are too long and the governor isn't getting a chance to slow the engine down because it is loose the whole time the engine runs.

Pictures say it better so I am putting a link to yahoo photos for some pictures. If anybody wants to see a different picture let me know because I want to fix this.

All I know is that I haven't touched anything but the linkages during that painting process so I don't know why it decides not to work now but worked perfectely a year ago.

Per the I&T manual the linkage from the govenor tthe carburetor needs to be adjusted as such. Disconnect the throttle rod from the carburetor. With the hend control in full speed position, adjust length carburetor throttle rod so thst rod is 1/2 hole short entering hole in carbuertor throttle shaft lever when carburertor butterfly is in wide open position.
If everything else is working properly this should help with your problem..
